Resident Film Review

I've tried multiple times but I can't bring myself to actually finish a movie. I've had this problem with a few movies before but it is usually from something else. When I first saw "Super Troopers" It took me years to really finish it because of my poor taste in timing every time I watched it, but this movie is just so boring!

Silent Horror is the worst of all the X-Strike Studios films. It's understandable that an indie studio probably won't be the best at their craft but from some of the things I had heard and even seen from them I was expecting something at least watchable! But sadly this movie is not only boring but seriously annoying as well. I can sum up the biggest flaw of this film in 2 simple words. Sara Reis. It's an understandable prospect that you want to cast your friends in a movie. I've wanted to do that since I rediscovered my love of film but when you do you really need to make sure that they can act or at least aren't the most wooden/annoying actor since "Birdemic: Shock and Terror", even if this movie came out before then. From what I've seen none of the characters are memorable, none of the "jokes" are funny and in general this movie just bothers me by not letting me finish it!

I was recommended this movie by Dena of "The Game Den" on TGWTG.com in one of her reviews and I have seen multiple X-Strike Studio productions and they vary from really good to this abysmal. I have to say that some of their films specifically "Resident Horror" while not really inspired naming that film is in my opinion is beyond fun. Full of referential game humor as well as some really fun characters I can't really express how good that film is in comparison!

So wait what twas I saying? Oh Silent Horror sucks, watch Resident Horror instead.

Ok this one on the left, don't even click it!
This one on the right, that is the good one!

Also a fun bit of news there is a sequel to Birdemic coming out soon.

Site Updates (10/25/2012)

So I'm going to updating the blog a bit soon. I'm working on getting a domain for it because why not? Sadly i haven't been updating the blog much since I've been busy with a job and other projects but hey good bad news! I'm unemployed again! So I'm back to at the moment spending my time working purely through the internet, and still not getting a paycheck!

But hey back to that update thing. I'm going to updating the site including a new banner with the new domain I'm going to buy as soon as I can. Hopefully a new layout that will make this bad boy look more pro. Working on getting those new ads up and running. I'm gonna try to make more personal videos as well as update with weekly vlogs as well as blog posts, I'll try for at least 3 a week for vlogs. Blog posts will be a little more frequent. I'll try basic movie reviews, not Nostalgia Critic style more Siskel and Ebert quick stuff.

I'll also be posting a few links to The PutzCast when we do some awesome stuff there as well as VA on the Mic stuff now that I can work on those more. so if there is either an artist or a musician reading this contact me through the comments, cause I'm looking for some work to be done.

So till then I'm still looking for work, I'm in a weight loss competition and working on so much cool stuff! So I'll leave you with a vlog I did the other day about trying out new lighting for the vlogs as well as my thoughts on the "Gears of War" games, since I just played them for the first time today.

Updateucation (get it?!)

Alright well I've scripted a review for a movie called Zombies! Zombies! Zombies! I can honestly say I'm proud of it. I still need to write a review for Kiki's Delivery Service, because I signed up for it and I'm lazy.

I'm knee deep in editing TeamNakama's One Piece abridged, which is the toughest thing on my plate, I miss our old editor. He was better than I am at this.

I've been playin Minecraft a bit too much, I joined Reviewtopia to check that out, it is not very fantastic sad to say. I haven't started recording the Next Minecraft, since I still need to get the rest of the "episodes" up.

I'm thinkin of getting someone to voice a fridge.

I hope I get a call to work soon, so I can afford Press Start 2 Continue(buy it!). Also a thought occurs to me, if I rewrite an older script and make it good I might be able to send it to Ed Glaser of Dark Maze Studio.

So that’s it for updates. Also big thanks to Trish who is my 3rd follower!

Double Edged Sword

Alright I have been hit with a double edged swords for right now. My internet is out sadly and that means things are a bit off. I have to use an outside internet to do anything. And because of that I am not able to bring you the first “Class 4 Podcast” which was set to be recorded yesterday.

But there is a bit of good news concerning the artist I mentioned in the last post. And that is I have a title card artist!

GirlsHateBoys

From now on, for the forseeable future she will be doing the title cards for at the very least “The Undeaducation” series. Which I wanted to announce on the podcast was coming back this coming March (the end of March). But I will be working on “The Undeaducation” video series and I have recorded about half the footage for a “Let's Play” I'm working on. So hopefully all things will come together and then I'll have a job by the end of the week, I hope!

But for now if I'm going to get anything done I'll be at a coffee shop...Fuckin life, huh?

Alright well I will try to update as regularly as possible.

And a big freakin thank you to GirlsHateBoys/OneAngryArtist/Lucretia!

Artist, I need one...Life, that'd be good to.

You know in high school I wrote a children’s book.

I did.

It was about a boy and a zombie. I had high hopes to make a book and try to get it published. But sadly I am a terrible artist. Seriously my talent ends at doodles and it hardly makes it to that.

But while going through the "TGWTG Forum", I found a little "Artist for Hire" section. The section is really for title cards but I found an artist whom I have messaged and hopefully will be doing my title card. She has a very good style that is both cartoony yet has actual emotional depth to it as well. So hopefully I will get an artist for my title cards and if that works out well maybe an artist for my children’s book.

And if so, then maybe I can finally make some scratch.

Alright so back to boring life deprived of both job and girlfriend...lucky guy.

My Kind of Magazine!

Alright other than being a zombie nut I'm also a guy so obviously I do have other thoughts on my mind than the undead...except in 2 small occurrences but that doesn't count and I'll talk about that some other time. Till then, one of the biggest things on my mind other than food and the undead is women. I have had a few girl friends in the past and I'd had my share of crazies including the one who punched me in the face on our first date. But not all women are bad. But sadly all men are pig. We fantasize about sex every 7 seconds or so and I don't think that ever stops. And I have a magazine that seems to agree with me.

Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you...

Girls and Corpses Magazine.

Yes indeed there is a magazine out there for everyone and I think I might have just found mine. Girls and corpses features articles and interviews with all sorts horror/comedy related pieces of news and information.

"We offer an alternative to fans of horror stalwarts Fangoria and Rue Morgue, by serving some guffaws with our gore." ~ GirlsandCorpses.com

And I will answer your question right now...Yes, they are real corpses.

There is no trick photography here. These are real girls and real corpses. And now you’re probably thinking
"1. I need to throw up.
2. How are these girls not dying from the diseases associated with rotting corpses?"

Well no that is not how they replenish corpses, by killing their models. That’s just sick...good business strategy though, never have to pay them.

The basic idea is that the corpses are cleaned and dried out so all safety precautions have been taken to insure the safety and health of the models. Also there is no threat of the corpses coming back for obvious reasons not to mention all the guts are gone and things like eyes have been replaced with false eyes, if needed.

As of this date I am not sure if this magazine is still in print the website is rather old it would seem but none the less it seems as though you are still able to purchase the back issues if you so choose to.

And I am very proud to say that from now on The Undeaducation Blog will feature a direct link to the Girls and Corpses site.

There is no need for you to worry...They'll be stiff for you.
